I have to admit I was a little worried about how Indiana Jones 4 was going to turn out, we all saw what happened with Star Wars after all. I’m happy to say that Indiana Jones lives up to it’s predecessors…Although it took two viewings for me to fully appreciate it. The first time I saw it I was a little dissapointed, I thought it was good, but I didn’t think it was near as good as the original three movies. I thought it was too ridiculous and over the top, but after the second time I thought it was no more ridiculous or over the top as the other Indys. I was probably just expecting the worst because of those Star Wars prequels. Read more

I have to admit that I was hesitant to play a game that had Steven Spielberg’s name on the cover. It’s not that I don’t like Spielberg, but sometimes I think the gaming industry has a habit of putting big names on a steaming pile of crap to try and get people to buy it and unfortunately it works. However, I’m happy to say that I’m pleasantly surprised by Boomblox. Read more
Even though this is a little old now, I figured I would post it anyway because I can!
Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto ended up being number 1 on TIME magazines 100 most influential people! The master game designer managed to top the likes of Al Gore, Will Smith, Lance Armstrong, Arnold Schwarzenegger and even Simon Cowell! Simon Cowell!!
We would like to congratulate Shigeru Miyamoto for earning such a prestigious honor and making such fantastic video games. Mario for the win!
At long last, Rare has finally released information on the much anticipated threequel to the Banjo-Kazooie franchise.
Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts(as it is now called) will take the series in a new, innovative direction. Rest assured it will still be a platformer, but this time around much of the gameplay will involve crafting your own vehicle and using it to perform various tasks( like finding Jiggies of course). People will have the option of choosing hundreds of different parts and building their own car, boat, plane or helicopter…How cool is that!
The story of course sounds Banjo-esque and is sure to include all that wacky British humor. A higher power (dubbed the Lord of the Games, who apparently created every video game ever made) holds a contest of sorts between Banjo(and Kazooie) and Gruntilda for the ownership of Spiral Mountain(the hub world from the previous games for those who aren’t familiar with Banjo). I assume Banjo(being the good guy) competes for ownership to keep things as is, while Gruntilda(now reduced to a skull in a robot suit) wants to construct shopping malls and whatnot, destroying Spiral Mountain in the process. Quite wacky indeed.
Rareware has also announced that the game will have multi-player via xbox live! Players can take their customized vehicle online and challenge others to races and other competitions.
So as you can probably tell I’m pretty goosed up for this game, but how could I not be, it has Mumbo Jumbo in it!
Its that time of the year again, the time when all the blockbusters come out and make boatloads of money, the first of these blockbusters this year hopes to be Ironman! But is it worth the wait? Read more
I’m very sorry, but I was going through some spam comments and accidentally deleted some legitimate comments at the same time. My reCAPTCHA plug-in got disabled when I upgraded to a new wordpress version so some spam already got in.
2007 was a fantastic year for video games, and 2008 looks to be equally as great!
Wii Fit: Heaven only knows how crazy this game will sell. I think it may end up being the best selling game of the year!
Sonic unleashed: Although most of Sonic’s recent console game have been pretty lackluster, Sonic Unleashed hopes to take the once great mascot back to his roots. Most of the game will be played in goold old fashioned side-scrolling, and better still, Robotnik is actually the main villain again!
Spore: Legendary game designer Will Wright’s life simulation is already guaranteed to sell several millions of copies and will have gamers glued to their computers for hours on end. Sep. 7…Sep. 7…Sep.7….
Strong Bad’s Cool Game for Attractive People(SBCG4AP): Finally! A Strong Bad video game! Starting in june, Five(monthly?) episodes of Strong Bad’s adventures will be released via WiiWare. So grab a couple of cold ones and break out the Malloweens!
Banjo-Kazooie 3: This is the game I have waited 8 years for. 8 YEARS!! Even though some of Rareware’s recent outings on Xbox have been less than eventful, I have confidence that they will do their best to make this one great. There are rumors going around that Rare will announce a lot of information on the game on May 13, lets hope this rumor turns out to be true.
Nintendo: Nintendo has not said much about what they are planning on after Wii Fit, but they promised they will tell us come E3, I’m hoping for Pikmin 3!
