VGCharts’ Top 100 Games

Hey Hey! What do we have here? Another one of thems “top 100 games lists” eh? This one comes from VGCharts, which is a website. It involves video games. I have decided to post it here, and once again write my own commentary that I find kind of delightful (but not in an arrogant way). Here is the top 100!

Terminator Salvation Review

The Terminator franchise has always been an interesting one. The plots never made too much sense and they were very action heavy, yet the first two received much acclaim and are even considered classics despite this, whereas other such films usually get shunned.  Even Terminator 3 received a mostly positive reception. But how well does Terminator Salvation live up to the Terminator name? Especially with the absence of Arnold Schwarzenegger. Read more

Star Trek Review

Yams’ log, number 99: I have recently been beamed into a movie theater to see the new Star Trek film and thoroughly enjoyed it. This is the review of said movie. Read more

The 300th Virtual Console game (it’s Majora’s Mask)!

Just as Zelda II was the Virtual Console’s 100th game and Super Mario RPG was the 250th (apparently 200 is no big deal), The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask has become the Virtual Console’s 300th game (in North America anyway). This is a pretty good thing for me, as I kind of missed out on the game’s original Nintendo 64 release. I played it, but not enough as I feel I should have. Some people think Majora’s Mask is even better than Ocarina of Time (which to me isn’t AS big of a deal as it seems to be for everyone else, since I don’t think Ocarina of Time is AS great as everyone else does, it seems, still great though). I can’t wait to play this game to a full extent, and see if I myself will find it better than Ocarina.

Majora’s Mask is available on the Virtual Console for 1000 Wii points and is rated “E” for everyone.

Now, seriously Nintendo, where is Yoshi’s Island!!

What is a Fan?! A Miserable Little Pile of Secrets!

Sorry for the recent absence, my decision to write five posts in one day was kind of a last minute thing and I guess doing all of that in such a short time burned me out. Anyway, here’s something new!

Being the immense fan of video games that I am, I felt the need to get something off of my chest. And that thing is just how annoying the majority of video game fans seem to have become. Read more

5 Posts!

In order to celebrate the 5th day of the 5th month, or Cinco De Mayo, I have decided to post an unprecedented five posts on the same day! But of course this post right here had to count as one of the five, otherwise I would have six posts today which would not only break the whole point the “five posts” thing, but if I said I had five posts today but really had six, than I would be a liar. And I would have to eat a grumble cake, because only liars and thieves eat grumble cakes, and those peoples go to prison.

Why not enjoy my other posts which include:

The Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels

It seems a bit weird to me that I am just now writing my first professional wrestling based post, as I am a huge fan of pro-wrestling. And I know Wrestlemania was a month ago, but since I decided to start writing about professional wrestling here and there, why not start with this phenomenal match. Read more

X-Men Origins: Wolverine Review

The X-Men movie franchise has been pretty inconsistent if not anything else. X-Men 1 was pretty decent, X-Men 2 was really good and X-Men 3…ehh not so much (I did enjoy Kelsey Grammer as Beast though, who else would be Beast c’mon). X-Men Origins: Wolverine follows in this tradition with a movie that has its good points, but at the same time can feel a bit shallow in its plot and dialogue and has enough over-the-top super hero ridiculousness in its action sequences to make that absurd Green Goblin costume from Spiderman 1 green(er) with envy. Next issue of EDGE to reveal Pikmin 3?

In the most recent issue of EDGE Magazine (issue 202) may or may not give a hint that Captain Olimar’s third venture to the world of Pikmin may be in store for next issue. Now I can’t say for sure, as the picture giving the hint in question is awfully vague, and includes nothing but a bird’s eye view of a large patch of grass, yet people all over the internet (there’s the part that worries me) insist that in the upper-right hand corner of said picture is a verry faint blob that resembles a Pikmin. Issue 203 of EDGE Magazine is expected to hit shelves (in the U.K.) on June 4th, so it may be the right time for a magazine to show off such a game, as E3 takes place from June 2-4 and there’s a good bet Nintendo will reveal the game there and it will be the right time for magazines to start feeding the public some information.

One can only hope that that little blob in the corner is indeed a Pikmin. Such cute little guys they are, those Pikmin.
