Another Ponyo post!

This past week I managed to squeeze in two movies in two consecutive days in the forms of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and Public Enemies (expect reviews for those movies really soon as well as my review for Up, which is long overdue). But upon my trips to the theater I was once again treated to the grand sight of a Ponyo poster (this was at a different theater then where I saw Transformers, mind you).

I have to say every time I see another poster or advertisement of any kind I get more and more excited. I’m never one to try to over hype something (or buy into hype for that matter), but being a longtime admirer of the films of Hayao Miyazaki I can’t help but be over joyed every time I see these advertisements and whatnot.

On the opposite side of things though I saw another poster with that will-it-ever-leave-my-nightmares Mad Hatter from Tim Burton’s upcoming take on Alice in Wonderland… He’s just so darned creepy…. Don’t worry I won’t post that picture again on this post…I don’t want to kill the joke too fast!

But anyway, seeing all these Ponyo posters plastered in various places (yes, I was going for a “say it ten times fast” thing) really has me goosed up to see it more and more.

August 14th just keeps drawing nearer and nearer, which just means Ponyo is that much closer! Let’s hope all these advertisements payoff! I mean, I can’t advertise the film by myself! I mean does anyone even visit this website?!
