I was just now looking up Disney’s official movie site to see if I could find any new news on Ponyo and I was very pleased with what I found.

Firstly, The Ponyo trailer is now the default video on the site (take that Jonas Brothers!), which was awesome unto itself. But then I delved just a wee bit further and discovered something even better… Disney finally has an official website for Ponyo up!

The website is not very different in design then Disney’s other official websites for their films, which I think is a good thing, as it shows they are giving Ponyo the same kind of treatment they would give one of their own films (you know like one of the good ones).  The website includes the now-seemingly-ever-present Ponyo trailer (I can watch it. I can watch it nine times!) as well as a picture gallery (sit back and soak in all that sweet cell animation), one of those “about” pages (almost reminding me my own about page is still barren), some downloads and even a little game!

Yeah, that’s right, they have a Ponyo mini-game all up on that website! It may be a simple “promote the movie” kind of game, but once again, it’s the little things like this that show that Disney is giving Ponyo a much deserved promotional campaign.

There is also an apparently upcoming characters page, hopefully that will be up and ready soon.

And on a side note, I am fully aware that I have had a scarce amount of reviews recently, but don’t worry I’ll have that fixed soon enough with some why-did-it-take-me-this-long-to-write-these-things reviews.
