The Ponyo countdown wages on…

We are now a mere three days from the release of Hayao Miyazaki’s Ponyo. The film is already getting rave reviews from critics, and last year it became the second fastest grossing film in Japanese history (second only to Miyazaki’s own Spirited Away). Disney hopes to recapture this success here in the U.S.

On the subject of Ponyo, I should point out that Disney has updated the Official Ponyo Website with a “tickets and showtimes” section, which is pretty self explanatory, and have added a “cast & crew” portion to the site, which gives insight to the actors and behind-the-scenes masterminds behind Ponyo. The only downside to this is it seems the cast & crew section has replaced the characters page that never came around. I was looking forward to that!

But anyway, we are only three days away to Ponyo!
