Ten Great Video Game Music Themes II

Super Smash Bros. Brawl Theme – Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Composed by one of the most legendary of all video game composers, Nobuo Uematsu, The theme music for Super Smash Bros. Brawl is grand.

This powerful melody is made up of classic, orchestrated music and opera. And my word…it is beautiful.

Although this word is beaten over the head these days, the word to describe this music is epic.  And for a game that consists of characters locales, and music from gamings grandest franchises, epic is indeed the proper tone.

I remember when I first saw the E3 2006 trailer for Brawl, I was amazed with this music. And even after hearing it countless times from all those hours and hours I clock into Brawl, it is still amazing.

The Super Smash Bros. Brawl theme is beautiful, powerful and magnificent. A defining piece of video game music.

Elecman’s Theme is great, like everything from the Mega Man series.

“Forest + Maze = Great music.” couldn’t agree more. I remember my brother playing Saria’s Song/Lost Woods theme on the piano, giving the full house a magical feeling =)

This list is pretty good and contains a lot of good video game music, but I feel you’ve omitted two of the greatest ever composed. No video game music list is complete without Mike Tyson’s Punchout’s “Eye for an Eye” and Bionic Commando’s original theme. These were NES classics!

Those will probably make it on a future list. It’s not a “top 10,” rather it’s just a list of ten greats. I did one other before this and I’m currently working on the (long overdue) third edition. I’ll think about adding them to that list. Thanks for the input.
