Today we say farewell to 2009. We soon enter a new year, and a new decade!2010 is sure to bring many great things, and I’ll be sure to add many great things to SloganYams. For one thing, that About Page is really needin’ some fixin’. I also feel I was scarce with my video game reviews in 2009, and I plan to make up for it in 2010 with many more video game reviews, both for new 2010 games, as well as some from 2009 that I never got the chance to review. And I may throw in some reviews for games from other past years just for the heck of it. I’ll probably do the same with movies. And I’ll take advantage of the 10-ness of 2010 with several Top 10 lists that I have planned (and a few Top 20 lists as well). I’ll be sure to make 2010 a great year for SloganYams!

But now, let us remember 2009.

There were a lot of movies with the word “nine” in the title: Nine, 9 and District 9.

David (after dentist) asked “Is this real life?”

Balloon boy went for a ride (not really).

We saw the retconned origins of Wolverine.

Shaemus broke John Cena through a table.

Transformers” Revenge of the Fallen captained a Summer of terrible blockbusters.

Werewolves removed their shirts.

Dragon Ball evolved, but we really wish it hadn’t.

Mario returned to his roots, for up to four players!

The Dark Knight had to fight his way through Arkham Asylum.

Street Fighter was up for round 4!

Miley Cyrus deleted her twitter!!1!

Owl City was hugged by ten-thousand lightning bugs.

Disney returned to form with a Princess and a Frog.

Adrian Monk solved Trudy’s murder.

Strickland Propane closed up shop.

Resident Evil 5 was underwhelming.

With a house on balloons, Pixar lifted us Up.

Toy Stories 1 and 2 were released in 3d, to prepare for Toy Story 3.

Stop N’ Swop was a huge letdown (thanks a lot Rare!).

Kanye West was gonna let you finish.

Halo 3 was rereleased. Wait, ODST is supposed to be a different game?

Nick Jonas went solo.

I went to E3!

James Cameron brought us Avatar, and all its fancy visuals.

George Clooney was Up in the Air, when he wasn’t in a fox hole.

SNAPE KILLED DUMBLEDORE!…but Harry just had girl problems…

The Rise of Cobra was a laughable event.

A CGI Schwarzenegger couldn’t bring Terminator any salvation.

Johny Depp and Christian Bale became Public Enemies.

The Autobots enjoyed stereotyping.

The Phantom Menace became a decade old.

So did the SEGA Dreamcast.

Tiger Woods is in hot water.

The Dark Knight and Wall-E were robbed at the Oscars, as all good movies are.

Ponyo was released stateside!

The Undertaker fought Shawn Michaels in an epic bout.

And some other other stuff happened too!

Let us hope 2010 brings many more awesome and comical things! Happy New Year!
