2010 was a great year for the Wii, with the like of Mario, Donkey Kong and Kirby (among others) proving that the Wii is still fully capable of delivering AAA experiences. Some people feared that, with the 3DS on the horizon, that’s where all of Nintendo’s focus would be, and the Wii would be left in the cold.
Thankfully, this is not the case, as the Wii looks to gain another new breath of life in 2011. Here are some of the planned games for the remaining months of the year. Read more
The Oscars are a joke. That much has been clear for as long as I can remember. Animated films are treated as kiddy sideshows, timeless classics go ignored, pretentiousness is rewarded, and a bunch of movies no one remembers in two years steal all the awards from impossibly more deserving movies.
I have actually decided to stop watching this idiotic, political circus known as the Academy Awards (I may write a more in-depth blog as to why if I find the time between the other stuff I’m writing), but here I will list 30 reasons why these Oscars alone are simply not worth watching.
Keep in mind that they are just written from the top of my head, but are numbered for the sheer sake of helping me keep track of everything.
So enjoy 30 things that are horribly wrong with this year’s Oscars!

I’ve been a little burned out after completing my “Best Animated Films of 2000 to 2009″ list, so I haven’t had anything up for a few days. But rest assured I am working on some new reviews for movies, as well as a good few video game reviews. I am also beginning my annual “Yammy Awards” soon, and am still finalizing that “Best Video Games Ever” list that so many good people have helped contribute to.
So sorry for slow updating recently, just know I’m working on a bunch of stuff and will have some of it up soon.
For better convenience, I have made this post to bring my whole “best animated films of 2000 to 2009″ list together, including the introduction.
Please, don’t just skip to the end. Read the whole list please.
Introduction

And now, the end is near, and so I face, the final curtain.
*ahem!*
Here we are, down to the top five movies on my list of best animated films of the first decade of the 2000s. Yes, it took me a very long time to get to it (a year longer than it should have), but the fact stands that I have done it now, and here is where it all boils down. What are my top five choices? What claimed the prestigious number 1 spot? Why did it take me so long to write this? What happened in the ending of The Birds? Some of these questions will be answered in the pages that follow.
So enjoy the final piece of my countdown of favorite animated films of the (last) decade. Read more
