Winnie the Pooh is the fifty-first entry in Disney’s animated motion picture output (not counting Pixar and the like), and being a part of Disney’s primary animation canon, is something of the official sequel to the 1977 Disney classic, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (the other sequels were all made by Disney’s subsidiaries). But is Winnie’s sequel something special?

The WWE is infamous for holding back a good deal of its more talented in-ring performers, playing favorites to bigger (slower), stronger (less agile) wrestlers. And today, probably more so than ever, WWE gets flak for its seemingly refusal to push its true talents. Here’s my list of who I think WWE is currently dropping the ball with the most. Read more
Nintendo finally announced Skyward Sword’s release dates (at least in America and Europe), so now we can stop wondering about it.
Skyward Sword will first be released in Europe (I’m as surprised as you are) on Nobemer 18th, and will be released in America two days later on November 20th.
Oddly, a Japanese release date has yet to be announced, but I doubt it, as well as the Australian release date, willt be far behind.
While I last went to Video Games Live during the second day of E3 back in June, I recently got the urge to write about it. I guess it’s been a while since I last wrote about Video Games Live, so what the heck. Better late than never and all that. Read more
I’ve already wrote a blog about how disgusting and vile I think the trailer for Dead Island was, but with this impossibly moronic piece of rubbish seeing release in just a month, I figured now is a good time to let off some more steam at just how idiotic this worthless game is. Read more
It’s actually kind of a funny thing, at the end of 2009 there were five. Five movies that made a billion dollars at the worldwide box-office. Here we are not even two years since the December 2009 release of Avatar, and that number has doubled. There are ten now, ten movies that can claim they made a billion dollars at the box office. Granted, the more recent ones had a little boost in ticket prices due to 3D glasses, but let’s not discredit them, the fact is they still did it.
I’ve now seen all top ten of the highest-grossing movies at one point or another (three of them can still be found in theaters), and find that they are of various degrees of quality.
Anyway, I thought I’d do a little something special and make a top ten countdown of these billion dollar movies. Which do I think are the best of the lot? Which ones are the worst?
Here is my countdown of the Billion Dollar Movies (from worst to greatest)! Read more
My Smash Bros. wishlists continue! And now, here is the moment you’ve been waiting for…third party characters! When Brawl first announced Solid Snake’s induction into the Super Smash family, things changed. It seemed the possibility for potential characters was endless. And, seeing as Sonic the Hedgehog would end up being the only other third-party character in Brawl, those possibilities are still wide open. Now, I was originally going to make this particular wishlist a top 10/top 5 list of my most wanted third-party characters, but I decided to go the same route with this as I have been with the Nintendo characters, and merely listing five, non-numbered characters here in case I should think of other characters as I go (but with that said, my most wanted of all characters is listed here). Umm, I think the title explains it all. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, is now the third highest-grossing movie ever. This is another way of saying it’s the highest-grossing movie ever that isn’t directed by James Cameron. Deathly Hallows 2 has surpassed the likes of The Dark Knight, Toy Story 3 and finally The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (ooh, that hurt to write) to claim this status.
In other news, both Pirates of the Caribbean 4 and Transformers 3 have also grossed a billion dollars at the worldwide box-office and are among the top ten highest-grossing movies of all time… Pirates 4 I can live with, but Transformers 3? For shame people, for shame.
Anyway, congratulations Harry Potter.
It’s been a while since I wrote anything about pro-wrestling, which may have something to do with the fact that for a while there there wasn’t much to talk about. But being a wrestling fan (stop laughing), and with WWE drastically bettering its product the past couple of months, I figured now’s a good time to start writing again. And what better subject to get back into things than Zack Ryder? Read more
It seems most the stuff I’ve written lately are really quick gushings celebrating a milestone anniversary of something totally awesome (though I did write a review of Cowboys and Aliens). And while that’s fun (and I’m bound to do more), I promise I will have some other stuff soon. Namely, I plan on getting my highly-anticipated (by me) review of Portal 2 done, plus I plan to continue my Smash Bros. wishlists and do some top 10 lists. And review whatever other movies I see and games I play, of course. So be patient, I’m working on it.
By the way, did I mention it was Yoshi’s Island’s birthday?
