Super Smash Bros. 4 Character Wishlist: Third-Party Characters

My Smash Bros. wishlists continue! And now, here is the moment you’ve been waiting for…third party characters! When Brawl first announced Solid Snake’s induction into the Super Smash family, things changed. It seemed the possibility for potential characters was endless. And, seeing as Sonic the Hedgehog would end up being the only other third-party character in Brawl, those possibilities are still wide open. Now, I was originally going to make this particular wishlist a top 10/top 5 list of my most wanted third-party characters, but I decided to go the same route with this as I have been with the Nintendo characters, and merely listing five, non-numbered characters here in case I should think of other characters as I go (but with that said, my most wanted of all characters is listed here). Mega Man: Capcom’s Betrayed Hero

Mega Man has always been one of the greatest of video game mascots. He’s probably been on more adventures than any other game character (with the exception of Mario), and has a history as rich as any other in gaming. Though it seems after his creator, Keiji Inafune, left Capcom, the company no longer wants anything to do with their beloved mascot (seemingly out of petty spite). Read more

Super Smash Bros. 4 Character Wishlist: Nintendo Characters III

This is another character wishlist for the upcoming fourth Super Smash Bros. for the upcoming Nintendo Wii U (and 3DS). Just a reminder, these are basically just shoutouts to characters I’d like to see. These wishlists are non-numbered (yet. I plan on doing a numbered list for third-party characters) and showcase five characters that I think would make interesting additions to the series. This is part 3 of my wishlists of Nintendo characters (perhaps next I shall do the one about the third-party guys). Part 1 and 2 are here and here.

And again, if you want you can leave a comment saying what character(s) you’d like to see in Smash Bros. 4. Anyway, here’s the third list.

Super Smash Bros. 4 Character Wishlist: Nintendo Characters II

This is part 2 of my character wishlist for Super Smash Bros. 4. Part 1 of my wishlist can be seen here (in case you’re too lazy to scroll down). Just a reminder, these are not numbered, just randomly throwing out Nintendo characters that I think would be awesome additions to Super Smash Bros. 4 (a future Wii U title). When I get around to third-party characters I’ll probably number that one, but for now enjoy five additional Nintendo characters. Read more

Super Smash Bros. 4 Character Wishlist: Nintendo Characters

As an immense fan of the Super Smash Bros. series, I have decided to make a few wishlists of characters and such that I’d love to see added to the recently-announced-but-not-quite-yet-in-development fourth Super Smash Bros. Of course this is all just that, wishlists. This (and future wishlists) don’t really have any impact on my view of the game and are not intended to get people’s hopes up. It’s just a list of stuff I’d like to see in the new Super Smash Bros. If they don’t end up being there, that’s fine, but if they do, it’d be pretty awesome.

I was originally going to make this a top 10 list, but I’m afraid I kept thinking of other characters that I’d love to see implemented in Smash Bros. and couldn’t figure out any kind of ordering. So here are the first five Nintendo characters I’d like to see added to the roster. Another edition (or two) of Nintendo characters will follow, and I’ll also do a wishlist for third-party characters (that list may actually be numbered) and maybe a list for items and stages or something.

And if anyone bothers to read this, feel free to write your own wanted characters in the comments box.

So without further ado, my most wanted Nintendo characters for Super Smash Bros. 4 (part 1)! Read more

Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition Review

"Episode IV: A New Hope"

The 3DS has finally launched, and amidst a so-so series of launch titles, one game has proven to be the 3DS’ first notable title, Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition! Of course, we’ve seen Street Fighter IV (and Super Street Fighter IV) before, so the real question is how well does the game make the switch to a handheld console, and how well does it look in 3D?
