Man of the Year Review

I know this movie came out in ‘06, but I feel the need to write a review on something horrible. I really do hate this movie. Read more

WALL-E Review

Wow! This movie is amazing! WALL-E is one of the best movies that Pixar has ever made, and that’s saying a lot. WALL-E is just fantastic. I honestly can’t say enough good things about it, it’s one of those rare movies that is, literally, too good to be true. WALL-E is one of the best movies I have ever seen. Period. Read more

The Love Guru

Horrible, terrible, atrocious, disgusting, horrendous, vile, nauseating, offensive, raunchy, dreadful…There really aren’t enough negatives in the English language to describe how bad this movie is. The Love Guru is not only the worst movie I have seen this year, it also may very well be the absolute worst movie I have ever seen in my entire life. Read more

The Incredible Hulk

Remember that 2003 Hulk movie? Yeah I try to forget too. Thankfully The Incredible Hulk is a really good movie, and infinitely better than that Ang Lee disaster. Read more

Kung Fu Panda

I was a little worried to see Kung Fu Panda at first. It seemed like an interesting concept, but it could have very well been another generic CGI movie with fart jokes abound. After seeing it however, I think it is the best Dreamworks animated film in years. Read more

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

I have to admit I was a little worried about how Indiana Jones 4 was going to turn out, we all saw what happened with Star Wars after all. I’m happy to say that Indiana Jones lives up to it’s predecessors…Although it took two viewings for me to fully appreciate it. The first time I saw it I was a little dissapointed, I thought it was good, but I didn’t think it was near as good as the original three movies. I thought it was too ridiculous and over the top, but after the second time I thought it was no more ridiculous or over the top as the other Indys. I was probably just expecting the worst because of those Star Wars prequels. Read more

Iron Man’s awesomely spectacular suit

Marcus wrote a post about Iron Man’s suit and the feasibility of it and as you may have guessed we won’t be getting our hands on a suit anytime soon. We are looking forward to getting into a cushy movie theater to see Iron Man very soon though. Some initial reviews have been released and it looks promising. Read Marcus’s post here

The Simpsons Movie

For 18 years people have waited to see everyone’s favorite animated, non prehistoric family on the big screen…and the results couldn’t be more disappointing. The Simpsons movie is more of a dragged out episode than an actual movie( if this were the days of “Mr. Plow” or “Marge vs. the monorail” that would not be such a bad thing, But the quality of the simpsons has vastly decreased since then). There isn’t anything that really seems ”Simpsons Movie” about it. There’s no show altering events, no major character deaths, no real changes in humor, all we get is some unfunny Irish kid and the unlaughable spider-pig(its NOT funny).

The movie itself is also as unfunny as the past several seasons, I can only really remember two or three scenes that I actually found funny. The rest is just the same poorly thought out, forced humor that has(unfortunately) become to familiar with the once great series. Homer still has his moments, but even he isn’t what he used to be.

Another problem this movie had was that it practically abandoned most of the series’ most memorable characters(with Ned Flanders being the only non-simpson to have more then 3 minutes on screen). I know the Simpsons has far too many characters to focus on them all in one movie, but when you bump Mr. Burns to a one scene appearance, then you have crossed the line!!

Overall the Simpsons movie was a HUGE let down for what it should have been, but with the current state of the series, it comes as no surprise.

There is nothing, NOTHING funny about Spider-pig!!
