Yo Holmes, to Bel-Air!
Sherlock Holmes is, of course, a detective. His intellect and deductive reasoning have made him so endearing, that the character has remained an icon for over a century. Many popular characters from today, such as Dr. House and Mr. Monk, have been inspired by the characters of Sherlock Holmes. Even the concept of super villains is often credited as originating from the Holmes novels. As such, this new Sherlock Holmes film had some big shoes to fill. Read more

That's no moon...
As was the case in my review of Twilight, I have yet to read the book on which this film is based. As such, I cannot make any comparisons between the book and the film.
New Moon is the second installment in the immensely popular “Twilight” series. Chances are you already knew that. It seems you can’t go anywhere without something Twilight related being forced upon you in one way or another. But does New Moon live up to the hype that precedes it? Read more
Before you read the review there are two things you should know: 1: I have yet to read the graphic novel, but I did some reading up on it prior to the film’s release, so I still did know what kind of movie I was seeing, even if it may sound otherwise.
2. I usually try not to review rated R films on this site to keep everything PG rated (if you will), but I’ve been a little slow on the reviews lately so I figured I owed it to my fanbase to review something (I hope he isn’t disappointed). With that said I will not go into too much detail on why this film is rated R (keepin’ it PG here) but just know that just because this classifies as a superhero movie, DON’T TAKE ANY CHILDREN TO SEE IT. I say this because during my viewing a man a few rows behind me brought his son, which he definitely shouldn’t have.
Anywho, on to the business. Read more
2008 saw a lot of highs and lows in the realms of movies and video games. Records were broken, hype was built and classics were born. But besides The Dark Knight there were a lot of other cool things too. Robots fell in love, brothers were Super Smashed and Metal Gear’s convoluted plot lines were unraveled (and still left some confused). And then there’s The Love Guru! Read more
Once again the (now undeservedly) biggest night for film has come and gone. I figured I would give my thoughts on the event. Let’s start with Hugh Jackman. I actually thought Hugh Jackman was a pretty good host…
A perfect movie is an extremely rare thing. A movie of such quality the only word to describe it would be a “masterpiece” (I don’t like to use that word very often). A movie of this good only comes around once every great while, But 2008 has given us not one, but two perfect movies. First was the animated, sci-fi masterpiece, WALL-E, and now we have what I believe is the greatest comic book movie ever created, The Dark Knight. Read more
